Katie Carney, a native of San Diego, discovered her artistic strength two years ago when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38. “My whole life has been changed by one word and that is Cancer,” Katie says. And indeed it had.

But creative expression has always been more than a stance for her, it has been a “compulsion to create.” And this is evident in every piece of work that the artist has given life to in her creative path.
